Frank Donner
Frank Donner - Chief Executive Officer

Frank Donner is the founder of FDE and is an entertainment industry veteran both as an accomplished executive and film producer with expertise in both creative and content technology services. Prior to FDE, Mr. Donner was the President of Elektrofilm Digital Studios, an industry leader and multi-national enterprise in technology-enabled media services for the entertainment industry. Mr. Donner was hand-picked to launch and grow Elektrofilm from a standing start to a $10 million dollar business in under three years. Mr. Donner oversaw all operations and business development efforts of Elektrofilm and was responsible for attracting key executive talent to execute Elektrofilm’s business model and strategy. Prior to Elektrofilm, Mr. Donner was the President of Advanced Digital Services Inc., an industry leader in post-production services for the motion picture industry. Prior to ADS, Mr. Donner was Vice President Marketing and New Business Development at Ascent Media and Director of Customer Service and Sales at Four Media Company.

As a film producer, Mr. Donner produced the 2006 Academy Award nominated documentary “Deliver Us From Evil”, the film “Between”, which was selected for the 2005 Sundance film competition, the film “Distortion” - 2006, and served as an executive producer on the films “Broken Idyll” – 2009 and “Locked” – 2006. Mr. Donner has a B.A. in Business and Communications and a B.S. in Radio, Television and Film from California State University Northridge.

Jeff Huang
Jeff Huang - Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Huang is a co-founder of FDE with Frank Donner. Mr. Huang brings superior operations and management experience in building profitable businesses. Prior to FDE, Mr. Huang was Vice President and Managing Director of Elektrofilm Digital Studios, an industry leader and multi-national enterprise in technology-enabled media services for the entertainment industry. While at Elektrofilm, Mr. Huang oversaw the daily operations of Elektrofilm’s Burbank facility, as well as was head of the DVD division and served as the company’s key liaison with its major clients and studios. During his tenure with Elektrofilm, Mr. Huang reported directly to Elektrofilm’s President, Frank Donner.

Prior to Elektrofilm, Mr. Huang spent eight years at Ascent Media DVD (aka Todd-AO DVD) and most recently served as Vice President and General Manager at Ascent. Mr. Huang co-founded Todd-AO DVD, a division of Todd-AO Corporation, in 1998, and previously served as Director of Authoring and Quality Control and established the physical facility, organizational structure and overall business plan for Todd-AO DVD and was promoted to Vice President/Operations Manager, overseeing daily operations and business management of the Todd-AO DVD facility. Mr. Huang has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California Los Angeles.

Chris Phillips
Chris Phillips - Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Phillips is a finance professional with 25 years of experience. Starting in 1986 with Panavision, Inc., Mr. Phillips has worked as a controller, senior vice president of finance and specifically as a chief financial officer for four companies, Four Media Company, Liberty Livewire, SDI Media and Black Box Creative Group, all within the entertainment industry. Mr. Phillips' extensive finance background and industry experience is a valuable addition for the Black Box Creative Group.

Gene Gamache
Gene Gamache - Co-Chief Creative Officer

Mr. Gamache has over 20 years experience working in the motion picture advertising business as an award-winning trailer editor, including six Key Art Awards from the Hollywood Reporter's annual competition for movie marketing. He has worked on campaigns for such movies as Night at the Museum II, Marley & Me, Reno 911: Miami, Moonlight Mile, Men in Black, Ghost, Braveheart, Forrest Gump, The Mummy, K-19, Meet Joe Black, Three Kings, Twelve Monkeys, Master and Commander, Radio, Anna and The King, Phantom of the Opera, Polar Express, The Rock, and Jurassic Park III. Additionally, Gene has edited numerous feature length films, such as Where Sleeping Dogs Lie (Sharon Stone, Dylan McDermott and Tom Sizemore), The Runner (Joe Mantegna, Courtney Cox and John Goodman), Distortion and Amateurs. He has worked with all major studios in the film industry, including Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., Disney, Columbia Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Universal Studios, Miramax, among others. He has also worked with filmmakers such as Richard Donner, Mel Gibson, Andy Garcia, and Ivan Reitman. Mr. Gamache has a B.A. in Film Production from the University of Iowa.

Craig O'Donnelly
Craig O'Donnelly - Co-Chief Creative Officer

Craig O’Donnelly has worked in the motion picture film industry for over 25 years as an award-winning motion graphic designer, animator, producer, editor, sound designer, and copywriter. Mr. O’Donnelly also has extensive experience with opening title sequence and credits, most recently for the film Distortion. Mr. O’Donnelly received the very first Key Art Award for Motion Graphic Design and Animation, sponsored by the Hollywood Reporter. His background and experience are a unique skill set, mixing extensive technical and creative knowledge. He has worked on hundreds on teasers, trailers, and TV spots for theatrical campaigns for such films as Night at the Museum II, Marley & Me, Meet the Robinsons, Reno 911: Miami, Paycheck, Last Holiday and Bruce Almighty (to name a few), and many Studio Home Entertainment campaigns including Star Wars I-IV, The Indiana Jones Trilogy, X-Men, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and The Ladykillers. Mr. O’Donnelly majored in Fine Arts & Photography at the University of Houston from 1977-1979 and Critical & Film Production studies at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California from 1980 to 1984.

Shaffiq Rahim
Shaffiq Rahim - Senior Managing Director

Prior to co-founding SR Capital Partners, LLC, Mr. Rahim was a member of the Leveraged Finance group within Investment Banking at Barclays Capital, covering financial sponsors and non-investment grade corporations. As part of his roles and responsibilities, he was involved with deal origination, in-depth financial analysis and deal execution. Mr. Rahim actively engaged senior executives of mid-cap and large-cap corporations during the due diligence process to gain further insight into the company’s finance and operational activities. Mr. Rahim was active in deals across many industries, including: Industrials/Transportation, Media/Entertainment, Paper/Packaging, Technology and Telecommunications. During his tenure, Mr. Rahim focused on leveraged transactions, including: leveraged buyouts (LBOs), management buyouts (MBOs), recapitalizations, spinoffs, and debt re-financing for non-investment grade corporations.

Mr. Rahim's corporate experience includes a Business Development role for The Boeing Company's Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) and a business analyst for several software companies in the Orange County, CA area. Mr. Rahim received his MBA degree with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Rochester (Simon) and graduated with a BS and MS degree in Computer Sciences from the California State Polytechnic University.

Greg Kauffman
Greg Koffman - legal

Gregory Koffman has practiced law in Los Angeles since 1982. Prior to the formation of Rosenberg & Koffman, he was a partner in the law firm of Mallev, Yelsky, Chemove & Scott, a nationwide law firm. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California in 1979 and his Juris Doctorate degree in law from Loyola Law School in 1982. Mr. Koffman served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Entertainment Law Journal (1981-1982) and co-authored "A Survey of the Right of Publicity: An Overview," published in the 1981 Loyola Entertainment Law Journal.

Mr. Koffman was admitted to the California bar in 1982. He is also currently admitted to practice in all courts for the State of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals (9th Circuit) and the Central and Southern Districts of California. Mr. Koffman has also been specially admitted to practice in both Colorado and Idaho. He is a member of the State Bar of California and Los Angeles County Bar Association; he currently serves as an Arbitrator and Mediator for the Superior Courts of the County of Los Angeles, as well as the Los Angeles County Bar Association Attorney-Client Dispute Resolution Services. Mr. Koffman has appeared as a guest on the cable television show, MoneyTalk.

Mr. Koffman maintains a current real estate broker's license issued by the California Department of Real Estate. His principal areas of practice and expertise are Business, Corporate, Commercial and Real Estate law.
